Rupert Gruber
is a freelance Illustrator and Art Director from Munich, currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
He specialized on music related artworks and editorial illustrations, before venturing in creating commercial artwork and all-embracing creative concepts for clients like MARVEL, DC, Warner Brothers, Pokémon, Universal Music, Sony Music, Nickelodeon and many more. Doing projects ranging from The Amazing Spider-Man, South Park, The Walking Dead, Suicide Squad - to working with artist like Pearl Jam and YUNA.
Since 2015 he is active as a freelance illustrator, designer and art director - even before he finished his Bachelor Design Studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, he built up his own business from scratch and is nationally and internationally connected and known by now.
Being passionate about music, literature and motion picture, his artworks and illustrations are not only truly creative but also sophisticated and well-thought-out. His interests are enriching his work and his whole creative process, which makes his designs unique and individually fitted, without losing his own style.
